A wooded trail follows the stream to the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, a textile mill burned during the Civil War. Beyond the mill, the trail climbs rocky bluffs to provide views of the beautiful rapids below. Additional trails wind through fields and forest, showcasing ferns, magnolias, wild azaleas and hardwoods. Park rangers lead informative hikes to these areas throughout the year.
The 215-acre George Sparks Reservoir is popular for fishing and provides a pretty setting for feeding ducks and picnicking. However, there is no beach, and swimming in the Reservoir is not allowed. Fishing supplies are available in the adjacent bait shop. During warmer months, the park rents fishing boats, canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and pedal boats. Visitors can join the Park Paddlers Club, which challenges them to explore waterways in six state parks. An award-winning Visitor Center one of the most environmentally responsible buildings in the country features exhibits on the area's history, wildlife displays, trail maps, snacks and a renovated gift shop. 10 Comments on “Lithia Springs Park”

  1. Lithia Springs is a fantastic camping place but the people that were in the sight next to us are a bunch of homeless people and inconsiderate and we had to leave and contact the park ranger and it still didn’t do any good they still fight and holler they are a mess

  2. We stayed two weekends in a row. No reservations. First come first served. Nice campground. Some sites more secluded than others. Both weekends were very quiet. Campground has 45 sites on two loops with park hosts on each loop. Park is patrolled extremely well during the day. We never had any problems, but there were some people that appeared to be living in tents. People were generally friendly. The springs itself is crazy on weekends. We avoided it. We would go back and camp again.

  3. Is it regularly Full on a first come first serve basis? So hard to try to plan a trip but you don’t know if you will get in and no one answers the phone

  4. Whats the probability for getting RV site on a weekday in February
